The IATA Aviation Energy Forum 2025 will take place in Baku from May 13 to 15, marking the first time the event is held in the Caucasus region. The announcement was made by Samir Rzayev, President of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL).

According to Rzayev, the forum — organized with the support of AZAL — will bring together over 550 registered participants, including representatives from more than 60 airlines and over 50 countries.

The agenda will focus on key industry priorities, enhancing operational efficiency in the aviation sector, promoting innovation, and working toward the ambitious “Net Zero Emissions by 2050” target.

“Azerbaijan and AZAL are proud to host such a major international event,” Rzayev noted. “It reflects our commitment to advancing the global aviation agenda, expanding international partnerships, and strengthening our country’s position as a key aviation hub in the region.”
