Pakistan’s Minister of Information, Atta Tarar, announced that Azerbaijan will soon receive its first batch of JF-17 Thunder fighter jets from Pakistan, with potential for future joint production.

He revealed in an interview with Nadeem Malik Live that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev is keen on strengthening defense ties with Pakistan and has pledged $2 billion in investments.

Tarar confirmed that talks on Azerbaijan’s investments in Pakistan are nearing completion, with agreements expected to be signed during Aliyev’s visit to Islamabad in April.

The JF-17C fighter jets, a joint project between Pakistan Aeronautical Complex and China’s Chengdu Aircraft Corporation, are now part of the Azerbaijani Air Force’s arsenal.
