An official ceremony marking the opening of the Israeli Embassy in Moldova took place. This was announced on Tuesday, February 4, via the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova.

The Ministry referred to the embassy opening as a "historic moment" that signifies the deepening of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps, the Jewish community of Moldova, as well as senior officials from both Moldova and Israel.

Mihai Popșoi, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, and Gidion Moshe Saar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, emphasized the importance of the opening of the diplomatic mission, which will help strengthen bilateral ties in various fields.

"The opening of the Israeli Embassy in Chisinau is a significant moment in our diplomatic relations. This step demonstrates our mutual commitment to a strong partnership and opens new prospects for cooperation," said Popșoi.

Officials in Chisinau expressed hope that the embassy will become a catalyst for economic and cultural exchange between Moldova and Israel.

"The Jewish community in the Republic of Moldova, numbering about 20,000 people, remains an integral part of our society, contributing to its diversity and cultural richness," Popșoi added.
