The borders between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have been fully agreed upon, but key contentious issues remain unresolved.
This was announced by Tajikistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sirojiddin Muhriddin.
According to him, the main problems are related to two issues: the Isfara–Vorukh road, whose route passes through disputed areas that have been the cause of conflicts between the countries in the past, and water resources, which are critical for agriculture in the border regions of both countries. To resolve these issues, two separate agreements are planned: one on the border and another on the road and water resources.
