Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is scheduled to visit Azerbaijan in the third week of February, The News International reports, citing informed sources.  

According to the publication, this visit is part of Pakistan's strategy to enhance engagement with Central Asian states and strengthen ties with South Caucasus nations under its "Vision Central Asia" policy.  

The Prime Minister will be accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, other federal ministers, and representatives of the business community. During the visit, several agreements aimed at boosting economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan are expected to be signed.  

Following Azerbaijan, Shahbaz Sharif will embark on a two-day visit to Uzbekistan. There, he is set to propose the use of Karachi Port for transit trade and sign key trade agreements.
